He may have killed that agreement but it doesn't mean USA will never do any deals with Australia directly. I don't think vegemite was ever going to take off there, agreement or no agreement. There's no accounting for tastes!!

You can't accuse the Trumper man of doing nothing, at least. he has hopped to it.
As for tastes. The jury is out.
My son & D-I-L would be in the air right at the moment, on their way back to Australia after just over a week in USA (San Francisco).
They posted plenty of photos on Facebook, describing their food. All looked great. My middle daughter went over there on her honeymoon, they loved the food (big serves).
My oldest daughter also went on honeymoon there, hated the food (she is a vegetarian), except she said that out of a poor lot, SF had the best selection, but the rest was too meat oriented.
A close friend is touring England/USA (they only got back last Nov & are off again, they have money). She loves English food, finds US food really strange, doesn't like it much, says serving sizes far too big.
On the other hand, another friend I told this to was most disappointed to find their serving sizes seemed normal. She had been looking forward to generous helpings.
My sister & her family are also on a plane home at the moment from Florida/Mexico and loved their food.
So.. after all that, I am guessing it depends where you go in USA and what you order and what you like. Same as here!
But yanks don't take to vegemite.. it's an acquired taste.

The TPP was good. Unilateral free trade is better.
America and Australia already signed the AUSFTA back in 2004, negotiated in 2003 (a bilateral, as opposed to a multilateral treaty).
It benefited Australia greatly.
