How do people perceive what "The Donald" is doing so far? Anyone getting nervous yet?
What we see on TV these days is primarily filling the "Cabinet" positions. So far he has selected the CEO of ExxonMobile as the Secretary of State. His reasoning is (1) He knows a lot of world leaders because as the CEO of ExxonMobile he made a lot of "deals" with them. No conflict of interest there? (2) He is personal friends with Vladimir Putin, especially after Putin awarded him the Medal of Freedom......seriously, the Medal of Freedom? Wow.
His pick yesterday was Rick Perry, former Governor of Texas to head up the Department of Energy. If this pick weren't so pathetic, it would be laughable. Perry was the candidate running for the office of President. When he was asked what would he specifically do to trim the spending of the US Government, he replied "I would eliminate the Department of.......of.......err......of (voice from another candidate "Energy"). Perry said yeah, that's it. He couldn't even remember the department that he was just appointed to lead.
There are very few women or minorities in his cabinet, thus "Diversity" really has no place in the Trump administration.
Trump did not know about the "One China" agreement and now that he has discussed this with Taiwan, China is furious.......so what does Trump do? He says he will use it as a negotiating tool for "Future Deals with China".
Lastly, 24 Intelligence agencies in the US have declared that Russia and Putin directly were responsible for election tampering by hacking into the Democratic National Committee computers and stealing their private emails and releasing them to WikiLeaks. What is Trump's reaction? It's all a fairly tail.....never happened.
Welcome to the world of "The Donald.
Well, one good thing about all of this is Rudy Giuliani is out of the picture. Thank God.

I wouldn't say people are nervous. The guy is different, I'll give him that. But I think a lot of people are fed up with the current crop of politicians and they want something different.
I am not so sure the secretary of state will do a bad job. It seems to me Trump is making use of a lot of business leaders. It's going to be an interesting time, see where this goes.
They may not be diplomats but I think some of these people will have business teeth, anyway. You should have a shot at cabinet!

I never meddle in other countries affairs, I believe in it's their country got nothing to do with me. (that's how wars start) But I had a laugh the other day at the BBC, they were disgusted, they were shocked, they were totally bemused, because Donald hadn't put a black face in his cabinet. But the sad thing is, they made this the headlines thinking we should all feel the same way too. The Black Broadcasting Corporation, another name for this corrupt parasitic white hating organisation.

Well, the problem is perceived as "Is Trump's best interests in the USA, or in Trump's Business?" He can profit from having "Good" relations with Russia, but at the detriment to Europe. For instance, two of Trump's followers.....one a US Congressman, are in Russia today talking to Russian business people and telling them that Trump may very well kill the Sanctions they have against Russia. Those Sanctions were put in place immediately after Russia invaded the Crimea. So is this good for the USA, or bad for Europe and particularly the Balkans?

Whatever happened to just having the best people for the job?
We sometimes get this attitude over here. There was a woman who stood for govt here and they were all a bit disappointed she didn't get in-was going to be the first Aboriginal woman or some such thing. But now she is facing criminal charges of some type-corruption or whatever.
Yet we keep hearing how ashamed we should be that there aren't more in parliament. But Aborigines form a very small minority of our population now and half the people claiming aboriginal ancestry have 7/8 something else. Why are aboriginal or black bloodlines any better than any other ancestry? They are not.
Why is Obama labelled a black president? He's no such thing. He's as much white as black. Milk coffee, not black.

I was pretty sceptical of Trump but is he does half of what he says, he'll be good.
He wrote a book in 1999 which he supported full birth abortions, gun control and high inheritance taxes. That sounds left of Bernie Sanders!
THe best thing he could do is stop the incumbency in the US. About 95% of US Senators and Representatives retain their seats. Out of the 5% that don't - some retire or die! America didn't need another Bush, Clinton or Kennedy. It is a republic after all.
The Trumpkins however trust Russia.
YOU NEVER, EVER trust a Russian politician, let alone your own government.
Screw Putin. He's murdered 80+ journalists and has stolen billions from Russians.
Hillary would have lost anyway. "I'm a woman" doesn't cut the mustard.

The worst thing Trump did was insult John McCain. That was total BS and disgusting.

I don't support full birth abortions. To me, that is a worse stance than he took where he once joked about grabbing women's backsides. The reason I am not in favour of full term abortions is I don't believe the medical decision about a baby's life should depend on whether the parents want it or not. If doctors can fight to save the life of premmie babies born at 25 weeks, they should not be deliberately killing a perfectly viable child of 40 weeks.
I suppose though it is just an opinion. But if full term abortions are allowed, I can't see why parents should face any criminal charges if they kill a young child, after all it is 'theirs' and impacts on their life. That would be the logical progression to me.
But Trump himself as a politician may work out okay for USA. Good as Clinton would have, anyway.
