OK, I read the article, but it does not tell me WTH Vegemite is. It sounds like either some kind of compressed vegetable vitamin, or a green super laxative.
What is Vegemite? Should I try and buy the franchise in Florida.......or Texas?
Hopefully I'm not inquiring about a feminine hygiene product?

Good grief, Daddyo. You've been around aussies for how long!! And you still don't know what vegemite is? Get with the program.
You could buy a franchise to distribute it in Florida I guess, but you would need to change the marketing strategy. Americans just have weird taste buds, everyone knows that, and the adults don't take to the product. But children raised properly do. It needs to be marketed as a healthy spread for children. And explained that the stuff goes on thinly, like a smear, on toast or bread. It's not like jam or peanut butter where you put a layer.

OK, so let me ask again.............what is it?" A healthy spread for children? Spread of what, and what does it do for them? Inquiring minds want to know. And why haven't the Yanks known about this.............after all..........we know everything.

The yanks do know, they just refuse to eat it. It's a spread. Like marmite a bit. You probably won't know about marmite. It's black, it's smooth. A very, very slight bit of it goes a long way. Nice on crackers, toast etc, especially with cheese.
But never thick. That's the trick to using it. Just a smear. Americans tend to spread it on like jam or peanut butter then gag and say they don't like it.
Yanks don't know about it because they are set in their ways. You need to get to kids early in life to convert.

This can start of your advertising campaign in Florida. Yeah.......that might go over well in Orlando where Disney World is, but in Miami we'll need big boob babes in bikini's and that Liam guy that Lola was talking about.

Marmite..............isn't that a large rodent with big buck teeth and drool dripping from his mouth?
I'm not sure my Granddaughters would go for that. I'm still working on Broccoli and Carrots for dinner.

Well, I'll put that right up there with "Humus", which is like eating bark off of a tree'. Add enough Ketchup to it and it still tastes like shit.

It's pretty healthy too. Ah well, if I ever meet you, guess I won't whip up a batch of my hummus then.
My son arrived in SF yesterday, says serving sizes in US seem large. Here's what he is eating (young ones take photos of all their food, it's a trend. In 100 years' time there might not be many photos of streets and scenes but everyone will know what we ate!).
Apparently eaten with kobe beef, noodles and cabbage. I think it must have been a Japanese restaurant.
And this for breakfast (hangover cure so he said): Apparently another massive serve, he says the bread and eggs didn't get touched. Maybe if he had had some vegemite, now, it might have been a different story with the bread.

Oh and lola, I love bega products. Hope they go from strength to strength!! We went to see the Bega factory, and it's a marvellous experience, I love their products.r It's good to go see where our products are made and where they come from, such as, in Queensland, went to the Bundaberg Rum factory, and that's a must see. Get to really know about their history and perils they went through. Also, at the end, you get 2 good drink samplers of their product, so between hubby and I, we had 4 samplers, I got to taste that 'dark and stormy' rum, and loved it!
