Hmm, need some advice from anyone who knows England. I was googling an address where my great grandmother lived in 1901 (according to the census records that year). I'll show you the picture. My question is this: Do you think that is probably the original building that would have been there in 1901 or does it look like a later era building that has been put up more recently? I realise that renovations would mean things like doors & windows would be updated and such over time so they probably would not be the originals, but the building itself. It's in a place called Tring, Hertfordshire.

That is definitely 1950's 60's style council house.

Thanks, granty. I asked a couple of others about it and they agree, it is later era. The fact it didn't have a chimney worried me. Just about every address I trace on google, turns out the original place is gone.
