Love the photos, they are like postcards. Must admit it does look very cold. I remember my 2 girls went to Europe about a decade ago now. I think they left at the end of March and got back a couple of months later. Started in Germany & Switzerland & Italy, ended in Britain then Scotland & Ireland. The weather in April was quite warm in most of Europe I think, though they saw snow in Swiss Alps.
Scotland though was one of the last places they saw, in May & they said it was the coldest place they had ever been to in their lives.
They passed through your area (saw Hadrian's wall) & I think the weather was okay there then.
So you must be due some much warmer weather soon. Enjoy the snowy scenes while you can.
