Rachels Rescue in Volcan. Two of them crawling on me. Beachbitch said there was actually three Sloths in the picture, but one of them had ten toes. Bit judgemental I thought.

Sherri, they can be mighty tasty. Have you ever had "Green Chili Sloth Stew"? Properly dress your sloth, cut into small chunks (about 1/2" cubes). then boil the meat in water & salt until tender. Dump the water, clean the pan, and refill with clean water. Add freshly peeled and roasted green Hatch chiles, potatoes cut into 1/2" cubes, carrots and fresh Pinto Beans. Cook under low heat until the Pinto Beans are tender. Add your Sloth meat and continue to cook under low heat until done to your liking. Serve with "Texas Toast", or other type of bread to absorb the Grease from your Sloth, and to minimize the velume of your barfing. It's a favorite of Cajuns everywhere. Next Up......."Stuffed Gator Tongue".........another famous Cajun recipe.

Sounds delicious I am sure.
Mind you, I did ask my American friend what would be typical American food & not a soul mentioned the sloth stew or Gator tongue.
They told me hot dogs & hamburgers.
Such a pity I'll have to pass on the sloth stew, so little sloth meat in the supermarket, they're very hard to catch you know.

Apparently not too hard to catch........Beachy has two of them hanging on to him.....Maybe they heard about the stew? Wait until you read my recipe titled " Armadillo on the half shell". First.....drive down any Texas County road and look for "Dillos" that have been run over by a pickup truck.......then....... BTW - I like your mustache Beachy - It gives you that "Quigly Down Under Look".........very manly.

In Panama your foreign drivers license is only valid for 3 months, so if you are staying for longer than that, you have to leave the country for at least 3 days. Our foray to San Vito Costa Rica. The cabin. Inside. A capuchin monkey about to jump onto the roof.

What a great little cabin, really different. So you need to re apply for the licence? Does the approval take long to come through? I was just wondering how you'll get back if you don't have a licence yet or do you & your wife have them issued at different times so there is always one of you with a licence?

The house looks like Johnny Weissmuller's house in Acapulco. This was a circular house with pie shaped rooms.......really weird.
The cost wasn't that much ~ $200 per day, but a pretty dysfunctional house. The good news was it was about 200 yards away from the "Cliff Divers". My ex-wife just loved the cliff divers. She spent a lot of time (and money) being photographed with the "Muscular Mexicans" and their speed-o's.
What's a guy to do?

No, you just have to prove you left the country for 3 days and nights and exit and entry stamps on your passport do the trick. I have never heard of anyone being charged with this, but the law is the law, and I've seen pictures of Panamanian Jails!
