How are you planning to spend your Christmas day this year?
We're having it at my sister's place. As long as it isn't too hot, we have it outside. My kids (who are all adults) hope it will be warm enough to have a swim afterwards but the forecast at the moment (long range) is only for 21c so if it stays at that, it won't be happening. We'll see.
The meal always used to be a traditional hot meal followed by the plum pudding etc, anything else would have been unthinkable to my parents & we kept it up even after they died but a few years ago we suddenly thought-we can do anything so we may as well do what the younger ones want. So now we have hot pork, chicken & roast potatoes but the rest is salads, ham etc & no plum pud.
Still have the Xmas crackers though-wouldn't be Christmas without them!

we have 20 at my place for tea the family go to there in laws for lunch but at my place for dinner, i have been doing it for 15 years, we mainly have seafood, and a very few meats, as people have a heavy lunch everywhere , so they dont want a heavy meal at night. i do go overboard but its once a year , and i do table arangements then have the seafood in it, last few years i have not built any table settings. like 4 foot ships with lights built in and every seafood you can think of on the decks , my sister does new years night and my brother does easter . so its split around.

Wow, Joe, if you do a special table arrangement this year I would love to see a photo of it. Sounds spectacular. A 4ft ship!! That's really raising the bar!

Hope you all had a good Christmas. We went to my sister's place. Here is the set up for everyone before we ate. The food and drink was sort of smorgasbord, we set it up on the bench. Even the dog was dressed to impress. Opening the presents. And some time to relax. This is my daughter with grandson.

Crab Legs and shrimp? Invite me next year......I can't afford that luxury with my wife spending every dollar we ever had on Christmas each year.
Damn those grand kids. Who was it that invented those little buggers?
