This Shih tzu in the caravan behind us is pining for Milo, vice versa. The road up to the forest, love this little cottage with vegetables and flowers growing in the front garden and a stream running at the bottom. And my caravan park on the right. A wild deer, my air rifle isn't powerful enough to bag this beast. But the rabbits have got no chance.

Love the rustic look of the area. Thank god you weren't able to hurt that deer, it is a beautiful photo with the deer alive in it.
Also love the little cottage but it looks to me as if it might need some serious structural work on the roof or they may be in trouble soon.
Meant to say-think you did the right thing buying at that park, it looks very nicely kept & in a fantastic area.

Those cottages like all the houses in the country are built with solid stone, They'll last forever but you're right about a bit of updating. As for my Caravan park, the location is perfect, right in the middle of the village, with two pubs, two cafes and a mini market, and no kids on the site.

The walls look very solid but the roof looks as if it might need a couple of bearer beams added in the roof as the tiles are sagging a bit. Are you allowed to have any children as guests, if you wanted to? If I owned a cabin van I'd (maybe) like to have the grandkids able to stay overnight occasionally. Not yet mind you as they are all 3 and under.

Sherri, the English countryside is unbelievably rich and beautiful, everything England should be. You don't see any vandalism, litter, run down houses, poverty, darkies etc. Some of the houses I pass on the way there and back are amazing.

Only if they're quiet.

You don't see any vandalism, litter, run down houses, poverty, darkies etc. Some of the houses I pass on the way there and back are amazing. I have a friend who, as I write, is winging her way over there. They have only been home a month or so & they're off again to UK/USA. They drive around England, stopping at B & B's and second hand stores looking for old/vintage tools. She buys old postcards.
My friend loves England. Loves USA too, only not the food as she said it is never what you expect. Not sure what she means by that. Mind you, she has had a few good meals there, it is just in general she prefers English food. Her background is Sri Lankan & she makes a mean curry so maybe England caters to that better? Don't know.
As for black people, I couldn't care less about skin colour as long as a person is law abiding & willing to work & mix with others. Have to admit, we have a big problem with Sundanese youth here at the moment, forming gangs etc It's a shame. I know not all Sundanese teens are like that but when you see a group of them, it can make you wary. There have been instances here where they just march into a store en masse and casually take whatever they want, think it's a joke as no one (with any brains) would confront them when they are in a big group, you'd get bashed for your trouble.
