Haha Joe. So true. We're facing something similar. Just before Easter, we had a plumber in to put in new toilets & new basin to main bathroom. He also put some sort of water stop on the basin so if it ever needs work, we don't have to turn water off to the whole house.
Anyway fast forward to earlier this week when my husband went to have a shower in that bathroom. We never normally use it. It has had a hard workout in the last year mind you as my daughter used to stay one or two nights a week to be close enough to work but since she had the baby in late March, she hasn't been working & hasn't used that shower. Trouble is, the shower water isn't working at all. I have been cleaning the shower regularly but just wipe it over, don't turn it on. The basin works fine, that gets used a lot. The bath water works fine, I have washed the grandkids in it. Just the shower.
The plumber never touched the shower but I can't help thinking the sudden stopping of any water has something to do with his work in that bathroom, but how to prove it and they charge $190 just as a call out fee, let alone doing any work!!
Not happy.

magic jokes the trick is to have minimal money in your wallet lol I already do, since I have credit card.....but must always check you statement online at least a couple of times a week, and keep all receipts, because my c/card was improvised recenty with unauthorized use...I report it to the bank immediately, they cancelled my card and refunded me the bamboozled money. Now, I am very wary of anyone that gets my card details for any payments needing to be made......I have a trail of who and when, receipts in everything. Speaking of credit cards......and money, I believe it will all be replaced by 'bitcoin'? Apparently, if you bought $5 worth in 2009 on the stock market, it is now worth over $4million. So, whilst we have credit cards......my funny quip for the day is.....a sign I have up "Men are from Mars. Women are from Visa" :-)

BTW....regarding skim card envelopes, I have bought some from Big W, 2 in a pack, for $5 and insert the credit cards into them. I tested it, did a wave of the credit card whilst in the skim envelope, and nothing registered at the checkout, then I took out my visa card and waved, and the transaction then went through. How effective this is with some of them crooks with portable skimming devices, I don't know. But at least I have some protection for the visa cards whislt in my purse/bag. I have bought them for the rest of the family also.
