hi when you listen to a radio program or talk on forums like this one or other media, do you put a picture in your mind what this person looks like or how old or if a male or female. one of the girls that does home work for me , i met on ebay forum , but when i saw her she was pretty much how i thought age would be. but many years ago i used to listen every monday night on the radio a football show, anyway most of the people on the show i knew what they looked like as the were former players. except for one chap , anyway after 6 odd years of listening the show was going live at a pub one week , well i went there . waiting to see this bloke , and he was completely different to what i imagined , he looked like a long haired hippie, instead of a well dreassed business man, not that it bothered me but i was way off.

I don't know what most forum members look like on the sites I go to. It's true, you do form a bit of an image in your mind though. The reality is most of us on this forum are probably on the older side. I think granty is a bit younger. But I do know what some members look like though, because some have put up photos. I have a fair idea of what granty looks like as I have seen a lot of his fishing photos in the past. I think I have seen a couple of photos of daddyo and a couple of Freon. The only person from this forum I have met though has been Lola. We were on a messageboard years ago (it closed down) and met up when we went on a hot air balloon ride. Since then we have kept in touch, been on a few cruises together. I'll see if I can dig out a photo or two, though I can't show Lola without her permission so have blanked her out. This is us the day we met. Going up in a balloon in the Yarra Valley. A younger me as this would have been well over a decade ago. Forget the year, maybe 2003? And here's me with my family. This was at my son's wedding last year. My 2 daughters were bridesmaids & this is a family shot of us all & of them with their husbands and their children. I only had 2 grandchildren at that stage but the daughter on the left was 7 months pregnant at the time and the other daughter had a second child earlier this year. What a difference a year makes!

Very nice cat there! In the drawing, is one of the 3 men you, Joe?
I have no picture in my mind of you, I see you as a younger man, fairly casual dress, tin of paint in hand.
So maybe the man in the cap?

no i am 60 on the left the drawing was done by political cartoonist tanberg from i think qland. i have another drawing which is amazing ,this chap drew it without ever seeing me. a few years ago, you see i have a pick up point in north carlton and this chap came to pick up some paint for his daughter who has brought from me a few times but the last time it was at least 1 year apart , so her father asked what does joe look like when i pick up the paint. and with her description and not seeing me for at least a year did a drawing that was perfect of me, how these people can draw is amazing,i will try and find it and put it on here one day. i have 2 cats both complete different , this one here is the cheeky one opens sliding doors

Here is an interesting program if you are running an IPhone, IPad, or MAC that uses IOS (Apple Operating System). It is called "My Sketch" and makes sketches out of photos.
Here is a photo of my Granddaughter at the Tampa Bay Zoo:
I chose the photo, cropped it a little bit, ran the My Sketch App and this is what I got back.
Pretty Cool, I think.

It is good. I know there is something else that does something similar, just can't think of the name at the moment.

It is good. I know there is something else that does something similar, just can't think of the name at the moment. There are many apps, like Pencil Sketch, Photo Sketch, Sketch my Photo, etc. that try to do this, but this one is rated the best.
It takes less than a minute to get your sketch back.
Maybe try it on some older photos Sherri? I'd love to see what those looked like. If you don't have an IOS system.....send me a photo or two, and I'll send them back with the sketch.

That's kind of you, daddyo as I don't have any of those programs. I'll have a look round and see if I have any old photos that might lend themselves to it.
Edit. I've come across a couple that could be worth trying. First is a web shot but I would be interested to see how it comes out. PS Can you imagine transport authorities allowing people to travel like that nowadays? They would have a pink fit! (as my mum used to say)
Next is one of my parents, before they were married I think. It's fairly faded but there may be enough contrast for it to work.

I have just remembered one place where I can give photos special effects. Maybe not quite the same. But in photobook Australia program, there are a lot of masks and overlays. Nothing though in blurb, which is the program I am using for my book.
