Hey Joe, I know it is paint you sell & you don't actually do the painting, but I was wondering if you've heard any of your customers mention the paint runner pro.
Been watching TVSN and Spree TV during the masterchef ads and can't get away from the long sales pitch for this paint runner pro.
My word, it looks marvellous. They don't actually say how much it costs, which annoys me no end, but I have read reviews that suggest it is around $130 or so. The reviews are really mixed-from best thing since sliced bread down to total disaster, scam, don't buy etc
Is it any good, that's what I would be interested in knowing.

They sell for $39.99 in the USA. You have to fill the roller with paint.
I would stay away from them........they look like a gimmick.

There's practically nothing on those channels that doesn't look wonderful, daddyo.
The ad makes it out to be the best thing since sliced bread and oh so easy. But I think it is $14.99 (and $19.99 postage) just to trial it for a month then you have to send it back in the condition it arrived in (according to one reviewer-who asked how could you if you had trialled it?). The main complaint seemed to be they were heavy if you filled them and could tend to leak. Pity, as they looked great.
All the good stuff is a heap cheaper in USA. For $39.99 I would try one. But $130 plus makes me think twice, three times. A lot of ads are American, can tell by the accents. The only thing I haven't felt I needed was a walking stick. Though how they can run an ad about a walking stick for one hour I do not know, must run out of things to say.
I only watch bits of the ads while other ads are on for my show, then find I can click back 15 minutes later in the next set of ads and TVSN is on the same product.

HI all ok the paint runner pro , for a start like most of these products theres plenty of nock-offs you can buy them from as little as $20 here in melbourne, now the problem they will have is , you have to keep the same pressure on the roller at all times , because the lighter presure you use the smaller amount of paint comes out.also paints come in different thickness , brands and typess for instance ceiling paint is mostly a thinner paint , wattyl is a thicker paint for walls than dulux ,so you will get a lot of uneven strokes, and for the original at that price , you can buy lots of good rollers for that . people should buy reasonable roller covers a tray and roller cage will last for donkeys years , dont botger washing brushes and covers when you are finished throw them away, a hassel to clean , and when you get to usse them again in a few years they will prob be as hard as a rock. so to answere the question ,you have to know how to use a product perfectly , or otherwise a waste of money. also they were prob made for usa paint , which in my eye is better than our paint in fact we got a load in ,thats odour free chemical free in fact this paint was used to paint google the new twin towers ,its sopose to be cancer free and bla bla google it its called mythic paint, anyway our paint in aus is a thicker paint , but not nessary better, so it can be a lot slower coming out, maybe this is why the different feedback in my opinion. for $20 ok to try but $130

Thanks Joe. I had no idea the paint in USA might be very different. That sure would explain why people complained it didn't roll out as easily as in the ads. Those ads are a work of art, they make out you can do a whole wall in 5 minutes and a room in about 20. Around windows and all.
I suppose when something sounds too good to be true..... it usually is.

WHITH a lot of these [seen on tv products]most dont live up to the test ok some might. but some well i have tryed some drills , and they have trouble going thru pine ,but i love the adds, everything is done perfect, just like the food adds kfc and mcdonalds has anybody even had a burger that looks the same as the add or buy a bucket of chicken that hangs out the side, and i get people saying could i have the dulux weathershield as its got 25 years warranty on it and you get 16m square meters to the litre. but have you read the conditions , to get the 16 meters and for the paint to last, it goes something like this... temp must be between 21 and 21.1 deg , wind must be 0 to 0.1 blowing , you must stir the can 43 times only clockwise, make sure lid is open no more than 2 minutes an hour, that is if you dont buy from joe, as lids may not come with your order. always use a right handed paint brush and not a hair brush. also dont have music too loud. and last never have your assistant wear a mini skirt and a short cut top especialy if its a man....

How right you are, Joe.
I do enjoy the ads though (not that I have ever bought from a TV ad). I find myself fancying the extenda ladder, roto saw (what I would do with it I don't know), the turbo scrubber.
My very favs though are the fashion & cooking ones. Air fryer looks good. But the best thing is the nicer dicer magic cube. I already have experience with food cubers & I strongly suspect these TV ads people cook their carrots and sweet potato slightly before they lay it out to use in the ads. No way do those cubers slide through sweet potato as easily as they make out. Life is full of disappointments.
