Supposing you would like to go anywhere, that is.
I've just been browsing a newspaper supplement called Escape. Trips to China, Vietnam seem a real bargain at the moment. I think I would prefer China. Really, $2000 for 2 people for 7-10 days including air fare and some meals, that's pretty good.
And Alaska/Canada & cruise with return airfares for about $4500pp. Bit dearer but still not bad value.
What are the bargains around your part of the world? And where would you like to go?

I think people should go and see most of the world , i have an elderly lady who does home assembly packing part time, for me for about 12 years now , never opens her pay but every 2 years goes on a trip with a friend like china russia , to places she would only dream about. mind you she got arrested in russia noit a pretty site just for walking on some grass lawn, it did say do not walk on this lawn in russia, took a bit of convincing and got out of gaol.

Well, that was pretty evil , walking on grass and all, but to be arrested!! That's over the top!!
I remember years back when my uncle toured Russia. This was around the 1980s I think. He said they got out of the tourist coach but he wasn't quite game to take photos as there were soldiers there watching them all, with machine guns.
So.. where do you fancy going, Joe?

Doesn't have to, Joe.
There are some fabulous places to see in Victoria-just perfect for a weekend away or whatever. And lots of interesting places for a day out or a drive.
For myself-I loathe flying, the whole rigmarole of getting to the airport, trying to drive in the dark usually, over the other side of town, parking, checking in, the squishy flight. I've been on a few cruises & I love the space and just waking up to a different port each morning, but the motion isn't always 100% agreeable.

I must admit a few years ago maybe 10 i went with a group to south australia and we went to avalon airpot, what a dream , its only about 10 minutes longer but no traffic unless peak hour, the carpark was 10 meters away from your checking box , we left the car there came back in 5 days very cheap parking no need for trolleys , very few people around , in fact easier than catching a local bus,
