I think it is very hard to say. These people are making the claim without any personal interviews-they say that isn't necessary etc-but we don't know their political leanings, they have not disclosed that, so they may not be true objective observations. Mental illness is a term that is bandied around a lot but there are degrees of it and a lot of different forms of it. I've read claims that psychiatrists themselves are amongst the biggest group of people with mental illnesses & mental problems.
Just because this particular group of people make the claim about Trump from afar, it does not necessarily make it so. I am not saying it definitely isn't so, just that they don't have enough information about the man or enough contact to judge. If they saw physical symptoms of some disease, they would be far more hesitant to pronounce a verdict. They would say.. it looks as if he may have symptoms of this or that but he needs to get checked out by a doctor to find out for sure. Yet here they are, blithely and definitively diagnosing mental illness from afar. Why? Because mental illness isn't as clear cut as physical and they know it. Trump can't produce an X ray and say-look, all clear.
I do believe Trump is facing perhaps the biggest organised, orchestrated effort at undermining a president that we have seen in decades.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way Sherri, but if a man were to fall into a septic tank, I think you would expect him to walk out wearing a new suit. Do you understand who that "Particular Group of People" are? They come from the best hospitals in the world, like Johns Hopkins, Princeton, etc. They are all professional's with their reputation on line. Trump is in the Whitehouse (OK.......Mar-A-Lago) for Trump. No one else. On his 100th day in office (the barometer used to measure if a President can get anything done or not), he has accomplished only 2 of his many things he said he would do on "Day One". Those are (1) Kill the Pacific Trade Deal (lucky you), and (2) appoint a Supreme Court Justice. He has bungled Health Care so that no politician wants to touch it again; There is no wall being built along the Mexican Border, and Mexico damn sure will not pay for it; He has flopped 180 degrees with his position on China even to the point that trade with China will now benefit China more that the US; Within the first year he will have spent more money on his weekend excursions to Mar-A-Lago than Obama spent during his entire 8 years in office; and you can forget about "America First". The campaign should change to "Trump First". His approval rating is the lowest of any US President in recorded history. And to make matters worse, the Republicans control ALL THREE BRANCHES of government....the House, the Senate and the Judiciary, and he still can't get anything done. But, WTF, he is wearing a new suit.

I've no doubt he puts a high value on himself, he's a self centred type. And he talked big, has accomplished less. Whether that makes him a psychopath though is uncertain. I don't know that Obama accomplished that much either, to tell the truth.
