I usually don't like to go to art festivals, but the one held in Tarpon Springs each April is a good one. Here are some pics.

Love the photos, looks like great weather for it too.
I enjoy art festivals. Back a few decades ago, probably 1980s, my dad used to do a lot of work with the Springvale Youth Club-he used to alternate between being president or treasurer most years and one of the things they used to organise annually was an Art show. It was nowhere as pleasant as what yours looks to be. Ours was in a hall but it had lots of interesting art work on display and it was for sale too. We've still got a couple of paintings from there.
Did you buy anything at your festival? I like some of the art work there too.

We still have stuff around the house that we bought at the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks many years ago.
Good times.

Sorry Beachy. I went to delete the second post for you and got the one that should have been left. Sorry amigo. Now then, is there no place you haven't been to? What a coincidence. I was at the sponge docks around noon time to buy some fresh shrimp right off the boats......heads & all. They weren't in yet, so I wandered over to Rusty Bellies for lunch. Nothing better than fresh seafood. I had a nice Grouper sandwich, then went back to the docks and bought my shrimp. Let me know what kind of sponges you want. I'll get them and mail them to you. Sherri volunteered to pay for them. That whole area of Tarpon is predominately Greek. I'm not a big fan of Greek food, but every now and then I'll go for it.

You might struggle in Melbourne-it's the Greek capital of the world almost, outside of Greece. Most of the fish & chip shops are owned by Greeks. You have to love tabouli & their souvlakis at least.

You got my mouth watering about a grouper sandwich.
I remember a place near St Petes Beach almost at Pass A Grille called (I think) Harry's Hurricane.
They had the best blackened grouper sandwiches around.
When I first went there with a Florida hottie I had met, it was little better than a tin roofed shack but, like everything else it just had to get bigger and (not always) better.
It wasn't far from the Pink Palace.
I wonder if it's still there?

The "Pink Palace" is now known as the Don CeSar. The building used to be a Veterans Administration Hospital during WWII. After the war and in the 1950's it was abandoned and almost went to ruins until a developer bought the building and converted it into a Hotel. I think it was either in the 80's or 90's when it went bust and Marriott bought the hotel and renovated it again. It is now a world class hotel. I think a cheap room there would cost around $400-$500 per night.
My wife wanted to get married there, but there was no way I could afford it, so instead we got married at the Vinoy in downtown St. Pete. I didn't know it at the time, but the costs at the Vinoy weren't much cheaper than the Don CeSar. My wife is high maintenance.
There is a Harry's Beach Bar within walking distance of the Pink Palace on St. Pete Beach. Maybe they changed their name?
Harry's Beach Bar is located on the beachfront at the Sirata Beach Resort and is the oldest beach bar on St. Pete Beach.

Heathen.
Gumbo is a stew that originated in Louisiana, in particular, New Orleans. It is spicy and rich and contains sausage, crawdads, shrimp and cooked rice or anything else you might want to add to it...............that's the beauty of it.
It is delicious.
I bet Beachy has had a bowl of Gumbo or two.
I'll find a recipe and post it for you in the food section.

I'm not really keen on the pink palace. It's a bit stark or something.
The fish rubs look interesting. Did you buy any art work?
