There are a lot of wild pigs in Florida, but only a fool would hunt them with a handgun......especially one of that caliber. The purpose of handguns are "Up Close and Personal". Any target over 30 feet is difficult to properly kill, especially when you know these wild boars run in packs of 15 to 20. I assure you, I'm not getting close to 15 wild boars at any time, especially with a 44 caliber pistol that weighs close to 8 pounds. They will have you on the ground before you can get the first shot off.
The one I killed was on my small ranch in Texas. I hit him right behind the ear at 230 yards. He was dead before he hit the ground. When I walked up to him I thought "WTF have I just done"? This pig weighed slightly over 300 pounds and there was no way I was going to lift him into the back of my pickup truck by myself to take him to the processor. Even after quartering him, I had to call a neighbor for help.
He thought it was very funny........and I guess it was.
Anyway..............he was mighty tasty. We ate off of him for almost a year. Thank God for freezers.

That sounds pretty cool, I'd love to shoot a wild pig and eat it. But the way you're talking, you'd need a machine gun, I think outdoor world sell them too.

One 270 caliber, 175 grain shell. And 200 plus yards away from the pack. Easy to do. I can teach you in a day........Bwana Tony.
