The Russian Ambassador to Turkey was assassinated today by a lone Turkish Gunman at a Photo Art Gallery in Ankara...............while on live TV. The Assassin shouted “God is great!” and “don’t forget Aleppo, don’t forget Syria!” in what Russia called a terrorist attack.
I wonder what Russia would call their air strikes in Aleppo killing tens of thousands of women and children................friendly fire?
The Turks say they have "neutralized" the situation. I suspect that means the gunman is dead also.
The Middle East is a horrible POS place in the world........can't wait for "The Donald" to get the "Football".

This is why every Muslim in the world shouldn't be trusted. They've all been radicalised, that's why they believe in a fairy story. "God is great" yeah righto.

It is certainly a fairy tale...............and the oldest one in the world. I doubt that any of us can do anything to convert these heathens. Perhaps the best solution is to back off and let Russia have at it? Perhaps they will all go to Moscow instead of London?
I was in London about three years ago for two days and I could not believe how much it changed. I felt so out of place, I was embarrassed to go anywhere. I have never seen so many Arabs gathered in one city in my life......they outnumbered the charvers.
All it needed is a shop where you could rent "Magic Carpets" to make it complete.
Sad really.
You back in Scotland?

I was in London (the smoke) for six months, I finished working there in March this year. We were in the East end, the traditional home of the Cockney. There's no such thing now, it's a complete Muslim dump. If you do see white people, they're Polish or some other East European type. A crying shame how our country has become like this.

Russia is right, that was a terrorist attack. Russia has made air strikes on Aleppo but that does not change the fact that this incident was still a terrorist attack. Both UK & Australia are facing huge problems ahead. Maybe not even because of terrorist attacks (although the risk is always there now) but because the sheer numbers of these migrants gives them huge political clout. We are already seeing it in this country where the laws here are being deliberately flouted and officialdom is turning a blind eye. We are also seeing a massive crime wave with African muslim groups-home invasions, car hijacking, physical attacks. The youths caught are let free and have committed on average something like 43 crimes each. Someone suggested maybe we should institute the American system of 3 strikes and you're out, maybe introduce it slowly, 30 strikes to start with.

Nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww..........just let your people start carrying guns. I would start with your Police. Let them carry 24-7. If you can't trust a COP, who can you trust?

Daddyo, the police here carry guns 24/7 plus wear bullet proof vests all the time on duty, even when working inside the station on desk duty. Have done for a while now as they are on high alert permanently. I can vouch for that. Mind you, if they pulled that weapon out at any time other than to mercy kill an animal or if their life was under direct threat, they would be instantly dismissed. Even when their life is under threat, if they shoot someone, there is usually outrage.

Oh and the youths who have been caught and placed in juvenile detention centres have been trashing the places, to the tune of millions of dollars damaged. I was reading a report about this in the paper yesterday. The people who work in these centres are under a lot of stress as their orders are that they are not to interfere or try to stop the youths in any way, no matter what. They cannot even remove any of the youths later. Naturally, the youths have woken up to the fact there are no consequences so they are attacking or threatening guards & enjoying their ability to break and smash while the wardens have to watch.

No, the gun stays at the station. They are not allowed to drive to or from work in their uniform either but they are allowed to take the uniform home to wash. The reason they have to change is they can't afford to be identifiable as police officers when they are on their own, in traffic etc as they could be vulnerable to attack. My worry would be when they leave the police station to go to their parked car.

Ah I see you are wondering why I wrote 24/7. I meant that police carry a gun/wear a bullet proof vest at all times when on duty, that rule is in place round the clock, all shifts.

"DADDY O quote: Nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww..........just let your people start carrying guns."
Oh yes please, I always said I wanted a nice little one for my handbag! And the way crime is on the increase in Melbourne, with lack of respect for the average person just driving along, or at a hotel having a drink, or even walking along in a supermarket now it seems, with random attacks, some of these perpetrators need to learn more respect, and I would be one to the rescue with a "go ahead, make my day" stance! With confidence only if a gun is in my handbag of course.

Lol there's a great article in today's herald sun. It talks about how a truck killed people at a market in berlin and says really? A truck? So a bit of truck servicing should fix the problem? Or as people are suggesting, bollards around market places etc to stop this?
The man writing the article though says he has a better idea. Instead of guards at every venue, bollards round every place a truck might ram people etc, what about trying something new, called a border. Ramp up the security at the border. Don't let people into the country if they are the sort who are going to attack. As the man says, even if you claim only a small percentage of muslims are attackers, each time you let in another 100,000 of them, you are letting in more terrorists. He goes on to say that surveys show people in France and people in Melbourne, in surveys, both over estimate the % of muslims in the population and that means one thing-that they are punching above their weight, having more effect than their numbers should warrant. By the time their numbers reach 17%, it will feel as if they are 48%.
The increase in crime is down to one thing-youth crime, Africans, muslims. other areas of crime have apparently gone down but you wouldn't know it as youth crime has skyrocketed. It's all by migrant ferals. I'd send them back, no second, third, 38th chance. Not for violent crime.
We should not be having to ramp up home security or carry guns to be safe. It is the ferals who need to be kicked out and border security ramped up so they never get in again.

To me what needs to happen is a deal should be brokered where Assad goes (perhaps a billion dollar bribe over being hanged like Saddam), the remaining non-loony FSA elements and Kurds join forces with the government and Syrian Democratic Forces, there is a promise of free elections in the future and they along with the West (and Iraq) and Russia ALL work together to annihilate IS.
