What's your favorite old wive's tale? Mine is if you have a hangover, the best cure is to "Eat the hair off the dog that bit you".......meaning to keep drinking. Seriously? Keep drinking only makes you drunk again, and prolongs your hangover.......for another time. Tequila in a Juarez bar at 6am is not a happy place to be...........all the dancers have left long ago........or so I've heard.

How about "If you feed your dog chocolate".........he will die? My dog Sir Oliver Wendell Bones will kill for a Mounds bar. The only dog that will die there, is the one that takes it out of his mouth.

I've never heard that last one although I have heard chocolate isn't good for dogs. A bit of chocolate is more likely to give them the runs than kill though. Onions & garlic don't agree with them either.

Old wives tale I remember well (as my mother sort of believed it) is that green is an unlucky colour. Mum didn't mind green in house furnishings but would never wear it.
Pregnancy-carrying high, you're having a girl, carrying low, it's a boy. My problem with that is I could never tell if mine was high or low.
I just looked it up and apparently the idea green is an unlucky colour to wear is fairly widespread in Britain. My mother got it from her mother, who was mainly of Irish/Scottish background.

Hey. I was talking about Gaegogi Jeongol.
OK, you got me on that one. Not being a big fan of Koreans, I had to Google "Gaegogi Jeongol" to see what you were talking about.
Touché.
