Yes............the Pacific side has the best beaches.......albeit sometimes crowded. For some reason, most likely my own stupidity, I thought you were in Panama City.......which, to me, is not a place to vacation.....not for very long anyways.
But, where you are at is a muy magnifico, part of Central America.
I bet by now, you are fluent in Spanish?

I bet by now, you are fluent in Spanish? I can get by in the grocery store, a restaurant and filling up at the gas station, but this summer I intend to spend my lazing around the pool at home time taking some serious online Spanish lessons. We bought a good used car down here, so obviously intend to be back before Xmas this year. Volcan Baru

I've found the best and fastest way to learn a foreign language is by "Total Immersion" Go find a village somewhere where there are no Yanks, Canadians, Brits or Aussies. Rent a place for a month, and you will emerge just about fluent. The only problem with this philosophy is convincing the wife to go with you. If there's not a shopping center within 2 miles of mine, she goes into "Buyers Shock".
It's not a pretty thing to witness.
