Sometimes I wonder about things….usually weird things, or so I’m told by my wife.
I wonder when dogs sleep why they appear to be running and snorting and breathing hard. Are they chasing some other dog they wish to mate with, or running to catch a nice juicy sirloin steak, or maybe just running to keep a viscous Pit Bull from snapping their tail off? Anyone know the answer to that?
Sometimes I wonder why do we think faster than we speak? I’ll have a great thought, but when I blurt it out, it sounds like I should be locked up in a looney bin. I guess I need to improve my motor skills. I wonder how I can do that.
Does anyone else wonder if dogs think Poodles are members of some weird religious animal cult? You gotta wonder what dogs think of other dogs……no?
Sometimes I reminisce about the past and all the weird things I have been through, then I wonder “Holy Madre de Hey-Sus”…..how the hell did I get here? I always wonder why I’ve never been shot by a jealous husband or boyfriend.
I wonder if there are any islands in the middle of nowhere that have no flies or mosquitos. I can’t imagine a fly or mosquito making much of a distance on their own. But, my father convinced me this wasn’t the case. He would tell me of his experiences in the Pacific during WWII and his biggest problem was keeping away from the bugs. Seems as though most would carry Malaria or some other dreadful disease. He asked me what my biggest problem was during my extended vacation in SE Asia. I told him it was trying to keep my feet dry so they wouldn’t rot away. His response was “Well, that explains why each time you wrote home you closed your letters with ‘Send Socks’……and then he laughed his ass off. So, I asked him what was so funny about that? His response was “Hell boy, I was in the middle of the Pacific for 3 years and never had to worry about wet feet”. I still wonder if that was true.
What do you wonder about?
