London is burning……….again. What’s wrong with that place?
As I watched CNN this morning the headlines were the Towering Inferno (a 24 floor apartment building located in London) was a blaze. As the CNN cameras panned the area outside of the building, there were hundreds of Muslim women (complete with Hijabs) who were evacuated from the building.
I’m curious if this was an act of anti-Muslim terrorism in response to all of the Islamic Radical terrorism that has plagued London for so many years………..particularly this year?
When you couple that with the facts that Brits aren’t very good at installing safety devices, like sprinkler systems, usable fire escape exists, fire retardant doors, not to mention the amount of clutter and trash that builds up in these types of tenements, you’ll have a disaster waiting to happen.
This building had no sprinkler system, in fact, fewer than one percent of all British council tower blocks are equipped with sprinklers, fire escapes or self-closing fire retardant doors.
One more reason why England should stay out of public housing development.

How do you think we English feel seeing our capital city turn into a Muslim ghetto. When people comment on the fire, they just say "it's full of pakies, so fuck.

I hear you Granty. London used to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. But to be honest with you, I'm afraid to go there anymore. It would be like going to Chicago and having to leave my gun at home.

The cladding used for that building is not fireproof, in fact, a fire hazard, and now, they are looking at how many buildings have it that pose a risk, apparently many in other countries, including Australia. But it begs the question to this recent building inferno.....why no sprinklers, and no smoke alarms? They were saying, a recent fire in Melbourne with the same cladding, had the very same pattern of burning quickly upwards then across, and showed both pictures as a comparison of the latest London one with the Melbourne one. Also mentioned, was that it's okay to have that cladding in a single story place, but not a multi story place. We have rental properties, and pay to comply with annual checks from proper authorities that the smoke detectors/alarms work.
So getting back to this type of fire hazard cladding on many buildings.....what are they (government and building contractors responsible and regulators) going to do about it now? And how quickly?
There must be some sort of way to isolate this type of material from fire spreading so quickly?
But water sprinklers is a good start, something that recent London building that burnt, didn't have :-(

And the first victim named, just happens to be a Syrian asylum seeker. (parasite, probably murdered his way to the UK) But you see how 'it's all our fault, for not looking after him properly. If there was any English in there (which I doubt) their lives don't matter, but a parasites does. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-40294616

To be honest, granty, he sounds like one of your decent refugees. He was studying engineering and probably would have been a worthwhile citizen in the years to come. One of the success stories.
But I take your point that the lives of English people lost count just as much. But you know what newspapers are like, they look for 'faces' to represent any tragedy.

Daddyo I can't open the link you gave but one thing I would say about compensation. If any is paid out, in my opinion no money should be allowed to be sent to countries such as Syria. So if a victim has family in a place like Syria only, they would not receive money. I believe the regimes in some of those places are corrupt & money may not go where it was supposed to go, or money may go to people with radical muslim inclinations and just fund the cause. Of course it might in UK too but that's another problem.

If anyone gives out 'false news' then it's the BBC. They just detest white people.

Now Theresa May has stuck her nose into it.....trying to get votes, I presume, which means all of England will be paying this mess now.
Add a politician............It will get really screwed up.
